About Hypnosis
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness. It is not the same as meditation or sleep. A hypnotic trance is a state of focused relaxation and awareness in which your brain waves have slowed from the everyday waking Beta state past the meditative Alpha state into the deeper, slower Theta range.
Entering and maintaining a deep state of hypnotic trance is a skill that can be learned. The more you do it, the better you become at hypnosis.
For a Life-Between-Lives session you must have had at least one previous experience with hypnosis which includes one Past Life Regression. You can do this with me or with another practitioner. (Life-Between-Lives involves a deeper state of trance than usually required for a Past Life Regression.)
What is a Hypnotic Trance Like?
Popular ideas about hypnosis include thinking that trance makes people oblivious to their external environment while a movie that they wont remember unfolds in front of their eyes. This is not usually the case.
While in trance, consciousness operates at several levels simultaneously. You will, for example, be able to respond to questions while under hypnosis. At the same time your multi-tasking mind may also be picking up background noises though they will remain in the background eventually fading from consciousness altogether.
There is no right or wrong way to be in trance. Trance usually begins subtly as the linear mind yields control gradually. Your experience, especially in the early stages of trance, may not be visual but be an inner sense of knowing or touch or an inner voice, or a combination of these. In most cases entry into trance is not a visual process; visual impressions come later as trance deepens.
What if I Cant Achieve a Deep Enough Hypnotic Trance?
Provided people have done their homework (had a previous hypnosis session and Past Life Regression) most are successful during a Life-Between-Lives Session. The very few who cant achieve deep trance or have a satisfactory session may have unresolved issues related to this present life like fear of loss of control, rigid expectations or fear of the unknown, or they may be taking medication (some medication interferes with the ability to complete Past Life work succesfully) or they may be highly resistant for some as yet unknown reason.
Hypnosis is a collaboration between you and your hypnotherapist. I provide my skill, support and a safe environment and you will need to release any need to control or guide the process and approach it with trust, willingness and an open mind.
Discussions before the session will help me identify how easily you will go into trance. Deep trance will be achieved by a very long, very relaxing and very comfortable step-by-step induction into very deep hypnosis.
How Much Will I Remember When Im Out of Hypnosis?
Typically, people remember most key details. However, I record the session for you so that you can review it at your leisure.
